Australian Labradoodle

What makes the Australian Labradoodle so special?

  • It is the most cheerful and happy dog you will meet. They are always up for a game or a cuddle on your lap.

  • They have a special gift of sensing your state of mind and always being there for you. It is a special privilege to experience this comfort.

  • They live in a deep bond with all members of the family. An Australian Labradoodle always loves the whole family and, like many other dogs, does not choose just one owner.

  • They are an inexhaustible source of love and warmth. You will never be alone again if you choose to share your life with them.

  • They have a beautiful curly and silky coat that does not shed hair.

  • Excellent for most people with allergies.

  • The best buddies for children. They are gentle and easy to handle, they will never just bite.

  • They are super intelligent dogs that love to learn tricks and do things for you. This makes them ideally suited as a therapy dog or assistance dog.

Difference between the Australian Labradoodle and Australian Cobberdog.

There are quite a few uncertainties about these two breeds. In short, they both have the same ancestors and come from the exact same gene pool. At some point the Australian Cobberdog was crossed with an Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Australian Labradoodle breeders do not see this breed as a positive addition because a terrier has a completely different character and this does not match the friendly character of the Australian Labradoodle. Both breeds have Poodle, Labrador, American or English Cocker Spaniel in their ancestors.
